Gortite Protective Covers - Gortite bellows, roll up and telescopic type covers provide a variety of protective covering for cylinder rods and shafts, actuating screws, machine ways and linear rails, to name a few. Other uses include flexible connections, expansion joints and camera bellows. The industries we serve are machine tools, medical and dental equipment, photographic equipment, material handling and packaging machinery, plastics machinery and transportation vehicles.

Gortrac Cable and Hose Carrier Systems - The Gortrac Division manufactures cable and hose carrier systems constructed from steel, nylon, or a combination of materials. Our products are designed for a variety of applications from light duty commercial applications to steel mills. Gortrac manufactures open and enclosed cable and hose carriers to meet your application requirements. Our cable carrier products are designed and manufactured in our plant in Valparaiso, Indiana or New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Gortite Roll Up Doors - Gortite® has designed and built roll up doors for machinery for over 30 years. The dynamic growth in this product led us to form a separate division called Gortite Roll Up Doors. Gortite Roll Up Doors is a leading manufacturer of custom roll up doors for fire trucks, emergency vehicles, and other specialty applications.

Polyclutch Slip Clutches - For over half a century Polyclutch has been a leading innovator within the power transmission industry, primarily in the manufacture of precision miniature slip clutches. Whether it's a new application or an update to an existing system, a Polyclutch will help prolong the life of critical components.

A&A Manufacturing Historical Timeline

  • Founded in 1945, A&A Manufacturing Company got its start by specializing in the development of products using synthetic coated fabrics.
  • In 1949 the company's focus shifted to the development of flexible protective covers for the machine tool industry. With this manufacturing shift, new products were developed using elastomer-coated fabrics, evolving into today's highly recognized line of dependable Gortite protective covers.
  • Metal protective machine covers were added in 1967 which brought about the introduction of two new brands; Steelflex® metal walk-on way covers and Telaflex® metal telescoping way covers.
  • The Gortite line later expanded to include Lasertube® metal telescoping tubes for use with laser beams and a variety of custom and stock way wipers and wiper blades.
  • In 1970, the Gortrac division was founded in New Berlin, Wisconsin, home to A&A Manufacturing Company, Inc. corporate headquarters. This decade marked the development of the first steel products and custom engineered cable and hose carrier systems.
  • Multi-axis face shields and bellows for articulated buses and light rail vehicles were developed in 1973
  • A new 75,000 square foot manufacturing facility was opened in 1998 in Valparaiso, IN. This world class manufacturing facility was built to meet the growing demands of our diverse customer base for our cable and hose carrier products in existing and new markets.
  • In August 2000 Gortite introduced The Gortite Roll Up Door for fire and emergency vehicles.
  • April 30, 2002, A&A Manufacturing purchased Milwaukee Protective Covers. The acquisition expanded the product line to include Thermic-Weld® Covers, ATD Actuator® Machine Door Openers, and Safety Curtains for Welding Cells.
  • In June 2008 A&A Manufacturing purchased Custom Products Corporation adding a fourth division, Polyclutch. All Polyclutch products are proudly manufactured and assembled at our North Haven, Connecticut facility.
